On 22.08.2023 at about 20:00 the Fast Intervention Unit from the Border Police, in the course of preventing and combating crime and other negative phenomena, during surveillance in the area of the police station in Bërnjak and Lake Ujman, noticed a boat , which is suspected to have moved from the territory of Serbia to the territory of the Republic of Kosovo. During the observation, suspects were also observed who got off the boat, who had loaded 4 bags of pork in the amount of about 40 kg, which they brought inside an object in that location.

Regarding the case, the relevant police units came to the scene, in which case the meat and the engine of the boat were confiscated, while the 3 suspects were taken to the police station, as suspects of smuggling goods, for further proceedings.

After consulting the prosecutor on duty, with his recommendation, after the interview they were released in a regular procedure, while the confiscated goods were handed over to the Kosovo Customs.
