On 12.08.2015, at about 10:30, police units after receiving information by the police sources in terrain that in a village called “Llugë” of Podujeva municipality, in a private property, one suspect had cultivated narcotic plants of “cannabis sativa” type.

The Police investigators (DITN – Prishtinë) have identified the alleged location in the Llugë village – Podujeva, where there were noticed two green-houses planted with suspected plants of “cannabis sativa” type.

The investigators together with a police station patrol have immediately secured the scene and notified the owner of the property, A. Q. and when he was asked about the narcotic plants and the property on which the narcotics were planted, he declared that the plants are in his property and were planted by him.

The examination was conducted by the regional Forensics in Prishtina which has recorded, photographed and documented the scene. During the police unit’s control, there were found:

• 986 narcotic plants of ‘Cannabis Sativa’ type, of different sizes from 2 up to 2.60 meters, • one pistol of ‘Zastava’ model 6.35 with eight cartridges of 8 mm caliber of the same weapon • one cartridge of a hunting rifle owned by the suspect illegally.

The prosecutor of Basic Prosecution was notified immediately and by his order, all the plants were taken from the green-house and after taking the respective samples according to the standard procedures about these cases, the plants have been destroyed in the scene.

The suspect was sent to the detention center by the prosecutor decision.
