Police officers from the Unit of Investigation of Trafficking in Narcotics -Prishtina, after receiving information that a suspect was involved in trading of small quantities of narcotics and after handling the information, the police managed to identify and apprehend the suspect.

The identification and arrest of the suspect (B.G., born in 1995, male, Kosovar), was done in cooperation between the anti-drug investigators and the police officers who are engaged in the implementation of the Operational Plan ‘Safety in schools and stop drugs in schools’. The suspect was arrested near the school ‘Gjergj Fishta’ in the str. ‘Ismail Dumoshi’ in Prishtina.

During a control of the suspect, a small amount of narcotics suspected to be marihuana was found, 2320 (two thousand three hundred and twenty) euro as well as a knife. Police required from the justice bodies (prosecution office) a permission for searching the house of the suspect. After receiving the search order, police conducted the search at the house of the suspect, found, and seized:

• A firearm AK-47 with two magazines and 50 rounds of the caliber 7.62 mm,

• A firearm “Bereta” with a magazine and 8 rounds of caliber 7.65 mm,

• A spray,

• Forty eight small bags (suspected to be marihuana) with weight of 39gr.,

• A digital scale etc. (for more see the attached photo).

After the interrogation, two criminal offences are initiated against the suspect: ‘Unauthorized Purchase, possession, delivery and sale of narcotic drugs, psychotropic substances and analogue’ and ‘Unauthorized ownership, control and possession of weapons.’

With the decision of the prosecutor on duty, the suspect has been taken to 48 hours detention.
