The 55th generation of cadets of Kosovo Police graduated today, 30th of October 2020. Based on the current pandemic situation of COVID-19, there was no ceremony for this occasion. The graduation was done in small groups –classes, at the facilities of the Academy, organized by the Directorate of Basic Training-Training Division Kosovo Police.
A. General Director of Kosovo Police Mr. Samedin Mehmeti participated in this occasion, he stated that today Kosovo Police are joining 426 new police officers and this will be a great support for the field work and he asked for additional commitment, especially in this time of pandemics. “Having in mind that the police enjoys a positive image for the citizens, you should contribute even more in increasing this credibility. To new police officers, we wish good health and success in their new duty in serving citizens”, stated Mr. Mehmeti.
In this occasion, 426 new police officers received certificates and took official oath that they will implement the Constitution and laws of the Republic of Kosovo, that they will protect territorial sovereignty and integrity of the Republic of Kosovo, by showing professionalism, responsibility and honesty in the benefit of all citizens of the Republic of Kosovo. Together with police officers, 5 members of Kosovo Security Force of the Military Police component have completed this training as well. Appreciation letters have been awarded to 14 police cadets in the capacity of class captains and to 20 police cadets for highest results achieved during the training period.
From November 2nd of 2020, new police officers will begin serving in Kosovo Police, continuing with the field training program part at the police stations for the two (2) years period under the supervision of practice/field instructors.
