Prishtinë 26 January 2014,In order to increase the level of traffic safety, and based on the circumstances of the weather change in our country, Kosovo Police with its units have undertaken measures to strengthen services of Police road traffic on all road axes. Kosovo Police in road axes has assigned Road Traffic Police Units which will exercise continuous checks of whether the vehicles are equipped with winter tires, tire chains as well as respect of limit speed rates and road conditions, but also undertaking of prevention measures against the drivers who are obliged to use lights for street lighting and fog lights in cases of reduced visibility of the road. Kosovo Police calls the vehicle drivers to respect the road traffic signs, to suit the weather conditions and if necessary to use the tire chains while moving in road axes where the snow and frosts may be present, especially in late hours where the temperatures may be lower.In order to prevent road traffic accidents, Kosovo Police appeal all the drivers to respect legal provisions of traffic area, since these norms are set to protect their lives and other participators in traffic.
