Podujevë, 13 January 2014 – Regional Directorate of Police in Prishtina, after an detailed analysis of the criminal situation in the region, being supported on the latest concerns regarding some criminal acts that for tendency have had the theft of property, has identified the forms, methods and manners of developing these criminal activities and have undertaken the necessary operational police measures and investigations for prevention, detection and hitting of all forms of these acts.Within the undertaking of these measures, on 21.02.2014, police units of Podujeva station, at about 23:30, have arrested a suspected person, for which there is a background suspicion of being involved in a case of ‘serious theft’.The case occurred in the Koliq village, where from the telephone antenna of two companies there were theft fuels (diesel) about 420 liters. These fuels were found and seized by the police.The vehicle (van) of the VW type, blue color with plates of the Republic of Kosovo by which the suspected persons were circulating, was stopped by the police in Batllava village where a suspected person was arrested meanwhile the three other suspects had escaped. • F. D. (male) 22 years old, citizen of the Republic of Kosovo With the order of the state prosecutor the suspect was sent to the detention center, while police is in pursuit of the three other suspects who are already identified.Based on the results of initial investigations as well as the findings that the police have provided from this case, it is suspected that the same persons acting as a group could have also been involved in some other theft cases (cattle theft) occurred in villages of Prishtina, Podujeva, Obiliq and Vushtrri.
