Kosovo Police anti-drug operation handcuffs three suspects

Kosovo Police, the Directorate for the Investigation of Trafficking with Narcotics on the efforts for prevention and uncompromising fight against the abuse of narcotic substances, after several months of investigations in cooperation with the Prosecution of Serious Crimes in Pristina, yesterday on 29.10.2024, carried out the operation coded “Freeshopi”, in which case three (3) suspects were arrested, one of them police officer.
During the implementation of the anti-drug tactical plan of Kosovo Police, supported by the Fast Reaction Unit (NjRSH), at the suspected persons and during the check on their bodies and locations, a quantity of narcotic substances weighing about 370 grams, a scale, three knives and cash (4870) euros were found.
Regarding the involvement of the police officer in this case, the Kosovo Police Inspectorate (IPK) was immediately notified for further procedures.
In consultation with the Prosecutor from the Department of Serious Crimes, the case was initiated and the three suspects were sent to the detention center for further legal proceedings.
The case is to be investigated by the anti-drug unit of Kosovo Police (PK), the Kosovo Police Inspectorate (IPK) and the Prosecution of Serious Crimes in Pristina.
Kosovo Police remains committed to combating all criminal offenses and arresting and bringing to justice all suspected persons, regardless of their role and function.
