Kosovo Police, respectively the Sector for Financial Investigations from the Directorate for the Investigation of Economic Crimes and Corruption has received information regarding the case that an official from the cadastral office of a Municipality intervened in the system by changing the cadastral boundaries of a parcel of land owned by the complainant in in favor of a third party by providing his parcel with access to a public road in an illegal way.

The same person is suspected of carrying out this action despite the fact that this plot of land had a temporary measure imposed by the Basic Court of Pristina, and by this he is suspected of having committed the criminal offense of “Misuse of official position or authority” defined according to the criminal code of the RKS.

All investigative actions related to this case were implemented based on the authorization of the Basic Prosecutor’s Office in Pristina.

On 28.05.2024, the suspect was invited for an interview, who was defended in silence in the presence of his defense lawyer.

After the completion of the interview procedures against the suspect, the Basic Prosecutor’s Office in Pristina issued a 48-hour detention measure for further procedures.
