Kosovo Police, specifically the Directorate for the Investigation of Narcotics Trafficking branch in Pristina, in fighting against the unauthorized sale and purchase of narcotics, today on 21.05.2024 conducted a tactical plan regarding the coded case “Rrethi” where with the assistance of an investigation unit from the police station Fushë Kosovë, at about14:30 on the street of “Peja” in Fushë Kosovë stopped and arrested two suspects.
Suspects E.XH., (born on 1982) and A.I., (1979) were stopped, and it was noticed that the second suspect, in order to hide evidence, swallowed a small bag of narcotics suspected to be cocaine type, which was previously bought from the first suspect.
In order to provide the necessary evidence, in consultation with the prosecution office of serious crimes in Pristina, the control of the apartment of the suspect E.XH. was carried out, where in this case material evidence was found and confiscated:
•Suspected narcotics, cocaine divided into 17 bags (16 small ones ready for sale and 1 with a larger quantity) with a total weight of 99.4 grams,
•A package in which there was a type of mixer used to increase the amount of cocaine weighing 63 grams,
•A digital scale used for precise measurement of small quantities and several empty bags,
•Cash in the amount of 1750 Euros,
•3 AK-47 automatic weapons
•6 magazines
•Ammunition of different types in the amount of 510 pieces.
•2 bayonets and 8 different weapon parts.
•A pair of binoculars and 2 gun cases.
•A mobile phone
The approximate value of the confiscated narcotics according to the market price is calculated around 6000 Euros.
The suspects were sent for interview and in consultation with the prosecutor on duty, the suspect E.XH. is taken to detention for the cases from articles 267 and 366 of the KPRK, while the suspect A.I is sent to detention for several earlier arrest warrants which were active.
