As we have informed you through an official letter, on the New Year ’s Eve the Kosovo Police was engaged in an operational plan for maintaining security and preventing illegal activities.

The end of the year holidays are mostly celebrated in the warmest family and social environments, but like every year the Kosovo Police officers are on duty, committed in maintaining order, peace and public safety.

To support and motivate them for their tireless work, the President of the Republic of Kosovo, Her Excellency, Mrs. Vjosa Osmani, visited the police officers at the police station Center in the Prishtina Region today.

In this visit, the President was received by the General Director of the Police, Colonel Gazmend Hoxha and the regional director of Pristina, the Minister of the Interior, Mr. Xelal Sfeqla with the deputy minister Mr. Blerim Gashani.

The President also visited the Regional Directorate of Police in Pristina, the operational communication center, as well as together with the Minister of Internal Affairs, the Deputy Minister, the Director General and the Regional Director, they also visited the police officers who are working in the capital according to the operational plan in guaranteeing order and security during the holidays and the new year.

The purpose of this visit was to share some moments with the superiors and police officers on duty, to appreciate and thank them for their work, as well as to encourage them in the further fulfillment of their duties and responsibilities in a professional manner in the service of the country and citizens.

On this occasion, the best wishes and greetings for the New Year were also exchanged!
