Kosovo Police, in cooperation with Kosovo Customs in the wake of implementation of measures for prevention and combat of criminality, especially of smuggling, have intensified their tactical and operational controls in the field and as a results of some information received through official roads of KP, a suspect was arrested in Vitia who in his vehicle had some smuggled goods which he intended to smuggle through the illegal roads from the Republic of North Macedonia to the Republic of Kosovo.

On 13.11.2023 the Task Force Unit – East, during the implementation of authorized police tasks for prevention, identification and arresting of suspects, perpetrators of criminal offences, has stopped a vehicle with the driver male – Kosovar with the initials R. T. and during the control have been found 43 packages with goods-supplements (proteins) of various types with the weight of 210 kg, with a market value of 18.000 euro, without the proper documents of origin and which is suspected to have been smuggled through the illegal roads of the RNM – RKS.

Another control into another location was carried out related this case, but nothing was found.

All the actions regarding the case have been taken in cooperation with the State Prosecution and by the order of the competent prosecutor the goods and the vehicle have been taken to the customs terminal – Dheu i Bardhë and the case is being handled in the regular procedure.
