Kosovo Police, within commitment to prevent and fight illegal acts, and in particular smuggling, on 24.10.2023 at about 11:25 at the entrance to the village of Dobërçan, stopped a vehicle with local license plates where during the control of the vehicle, a significant amount of processed tobacco was found and seized.

The tobacco packages were classified according to the tobacco brand names:

• “Marlboro” Red (cigarette carton) 6 bags of 30 packs x 0.5 kg, total 90 kg

• “Marlboro” white (cigarette carton) 8 bags of 30 packs x 0.5 kg total 120 kg

• “Luckies Strike” (cigarette carton) 9 bags of 30 packs x 0.5 kg total 135 kg

• “Winston” (cigarette carton) 9 bags of 30 packs x 0.5 kg total 135 kg

The total is 32 bags (nylon) with 30 packages each, a total of 960 packages x 0.5 kg., a total of 480 kg processed tobacco.

Regarding the above-mentioned case, the prosecutor on duty was informed, who ordered that a case of “smuggling of goods” be initiated, while the confiscated goods were taken to customs for further procedures.

Kosovo Police remains committed to combating all negative phenomena and bringing in front of justice all the responsible persons regardless of the duty they perform.
