Prishtinë, 1 June 2022

Kosovo Police, respectively the Directorate for Investigation of Trafficking in Narcotics – DITN, after the information received through operational roads in the field, on 01.06.2022 in the entrance-exit roundabout on the highway Prizren-North stopped two suspected vehicles where during the control there were found: 1 plastic bag, 1 luggage with 36 packages of suspected narcotic substances of the type Marijuana, weighing a total of about 18 kg.

During the operation as material evidence were seized:

• 1 vehicle of the type Renault me national license plates,

• 1 vehicle of the type Audi me national license plates,

• 2 mobile phones, as well as other material evidence related to the case.

The competent prosecutor was informed about the case and by order of the pre-trial judge, the houses and accompanying facilities of the suspects were searched, where during their search nothing suspicious was found.

With the decision on detention of persons, two male / Kosovar suspects were imposed the detention on remand, while another male / Kosovar suspect is at large.

All evidence related to the case has been photographed and collected by the Forensics Unit while the case continues to be investigated by the competent police units.
