On 28th at about 00:30h Kosovo Police in Gjakova received an information that some persons are gambling. The police reacted with its police units and encountered twenty six (26) persons suspected of conducting illegal activity.

During the raid and checks at the respective location the police found a weapon and an amount of narcotics suspected to be cannabis.

The suspects are taken to the police station in Gjakova and are interrogated. Based on the law on power to the suspect are imposed the fine on not respecting the police curfew.

The investigation unit came at scene and confiscated a weapon, amount of narcotic substance as well as all other evidences on illegal gambling.

Related to the case the prosecutor on duty was informed and by his order three offenses are initiated “Organizing pyramid schemes and unlawful gambling”, “unauthorized, ownership, control, possession or use of weapons” “ unauthorized Possession of Narcotic Drugs, Psychotropic Substances and Analogues” for further investigation in regular procedure.

Në lidhje me rastin është informuar edhe prokurori kujdestar ku me urdhër të tij, inicohen tri vepra penale “Organizimi i skemave piramidale dhe i bixhozit të paligjshëm” “Mbajtje në pronësi, kontroll ose posedim të paautorizuar të armëve”, dhe “Posedim i paautorizuar i narkotikëve, substancave psikotrope ose analoge” për hetime të mëtejme në procedurë të rregullt.
