Four members of Kosovo Police in the Mitrovica North are suspended

Four members of the Kosovo Police, deployed at the Police Station Mitrovica North, are suspended by decision of the Police Director, on suspicion of abuse of office.
The suspension of police officers comes as a result of images published on several portals and social networks, which show images of police officers in uniform, while performing their official duties, spend time in a bar / sports club.
The decision on their temporary suspension for up to 72 hours, was issued today, by the Regional Police Directorate-Mitrovica North, on the basis of suspicion that the abovementioned officers, while on duty, in an official uniform, have abused their official duty, in which case they have committed serious disciplinary violations based on the Administrative Instruction on “Violations, measure”.
In addition to the temporary suspension, the Police Station Mitrovica North will initiate the procedure for investigating alleged violations, while other internal disciplinary investigation procedures will be led by police investigators from the Directorate of Professional Standards.
Self-discipline and organizational discipline are the basic elements on which the values of the Kosovo Police are built, in the service to citizens and law enforcement, therefore such actions, such disciplinary violations will not be tolerated and as such will be punishable.
