The inauguration of the functionalization of security cameras in ObiliqPrishtina, 19th of November 2020 – today acting general director of Kosovo Police z. Samedin Mehmeti, accompanied by the director of the division of public safety colonel Gazmend Hoxha as well as the director of the regional police directorate of Prishtina colonel Fehmi Hoti, together with the Mayor of the Municipality of Obiliq
Mr. Xhafer Gashi, were hosted at the police station in Obiliq by the station commander captain Sejdi Zeqiri, in this occasion the inauguration of functionalization of security cameras installed in the city of Obiliq was done.

The project of installing and functionalization of security cameras by the municipality of Obiliq undoubtedly is of a great support and assistance to the police work in the field and consequently will impact in prevention and increasing the indicators on detection of various criminal offenses and minor offenses, especially for the fact that these cameras will be monitored by the police.

Acting general director of Kosovo Police Mr. Samedin Mehmeti, during this meeting focused his discussion in the fields that mainly relate to joint works, giving special emphasis to the dynamics of latest developments in the country related to security.

He highly appreciated the coordination of the officers from these two institutions and the considered the strengthening of cooperation as a facilitation for the joint activities in the future. Also he stated that, despite the divided roles, the goal is same one for the maintaining law and order, fight against crime and other antisocial phenomenon, for a safer and secure municipality, especially for a municipality of special specifics and characteristics such as Obiliq.

Mayor of the municipality Mr. Xhafer Gashi, elaborated the specifics of the municipality of Obiliq, the nature of the various problematics faced by the municipality and nearby villages, for the thrift of activities and he also expressed his readiness to support the police station in Obiliq with other projects as well.

The meeting ended with high appreciation for the quality of the mutual cooperation, a cooperation highly respected by both parties.
