General Director of Kosovo Police Mr. Rashit QALAJ is in United States of America in an official visit, participating in a ICITAP conference (International Association of Chiefs of Police).

The conference is taking place in Chicago (26th – 29th of October IACP 2019), where a great number of high level of Police chiefs from various counties are participating. President of the United States of America Mr. Donald TRUMP addressed the participants with a speech in this occasion.

This international conference enables participants to exchange police experiences, methods dealing with the problems and various phenomenon in the sphere of order and security, as well as getting to know the latest technologies applied in the field for better services to communities.

During the stay in US, director Qalaj had several important meetings, including the meeting with the Chief of INL- Department of State, Bureau of International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs, Principal Deputy Assistant Secretary James A. Walsh, as well as the meeting with the acting director of ICITAP Mr. Greg Ducot.

Director QALAJ during the conference and the meetings, paid special attention to the issues such as international police cooperation, fight against terrorism and violent radicalism, transnational organized crime as well as other types of crime.

This police nature conference is one of the greatest conferences annually held in USA, where Kosovo Police is supported by American ICITAP who are participating as well.
