Kosovo Police, respectively the anti-drugs unit, after continuous engagement in investigative and operational ways, in cooperation with relevant units, tonight afternoon on 28.03.2018, in Merdare, at the exit of the Republic of Kosovo for Serbia, during the execution of a police operation have stopped a suspicious vehicle and after detailed inspection with competent and customs units have found and confiscated a considerable amount of the narcotics alleged to be marijuana. The amount of drug will be determined after the final measurement, however according to initial estimates there are about 27 kg of confiscated drugs. Two suspects involved in the case were arrested by the police and other actions based on legal proceedings are under way.

Police remains committed in combating all negative phenomenon in the country, especially against trafficking narcotics.
