Kosovo Police (KP), based on its commitments and planning, estimates that the security situation is calm and stable, but in order to keep such a situation even during the end of this year and the best beginning of the new year 2018 which is our priority, the necessary police measures have been foreseen, but it is also required an increased commitment and vigilance of all citizens and institutions of our country.

Kosovo police, as in previous years, also for the holidays this year prepared the operational plan “The end of 2017/2018″, to provide security, public peace and order in the entire territory of the Republic of Kosovo.

The primary goal of this planning and engagement of the Kosovo Police is to maintain public peace and order throughout the country, preventing and combating negative phenomena and various criminal acts.

The police plan as an additional part also foresees the increase of presence and police vigilance in open locations and areas, in the squares of various cities, where there will be held festive events, as well as police presence in traffic for road traffic orientation and movement.

In order to prevent any possible incident, Kosovo Police appeal to all citizens of the country to cooperate and inform the security institutions of any alleged irregularities or information, including information or potential irregularities in traffic.

Also, the KP with particular emphasis appeals to every parent to be more careful and vigilant in preventing the use of pyrotechnic means by children, in order to avoid the risk that the explosive devices, the fireworks, may cause, and as a consequence of their inadequate use, years ago, incidents with various consequences have been identified.

Otherwise, the Kosovo Police will undertake all immediate legal actions wherever it notices that weapons or other unlawful means have been used during the year-end celebrations.
