Prishtinë, 15 November 2017 – Police units of the Pristina region while intensifying measures to ensure public order and security as well as hitting individuals and criminal groups, have organized their work with a particular focus on detecting criminal acts, identification and arrest of suspects involved in criminal events.
Investigators in the Pristina region have given priority to the fight against criminality and, in particular, some of the community’s recent concerns over cases of robberies (in shops, gas stations, microfinance institutions, motels, post offices, etc.) in different areas of the Pristina region.
Regional investigators, in co-operation with investigators of police stations of Pristina region, are in the process of operations to apprehend suspects for cases of robbery.
One of these well-organized operations towards arresting of suspected persons involved in several cases of robbery resulted in the arrest of two suspected persons. Also related to the same cases the investigators have been able to identify another suspected person who is at large.
Part of the operation was also raiding the houses of suspects, where the police managed to find and confiscate:
• a Golf IV blue vehicle with a local license plates (allegedly used in the cases in question)
• a long AK47 rifle along with a charger and 10 cartridges,
• a small bag of narcotics (marihuana)
• two banknotes that are suspected of being counterfeit,
• a Samsung mobile phone and as well as an Ipad
• some other evidences that may be related to the cases.
The suspected person:
E. Dragusha, male, 43 years-old, citizen of the Republic of Kosovo. and
A. Leci, male, 37 years-old, citizen of the Republic of Kosovo,
with the order of the prosecutor after interrogation they were taken to the detention center in Pristina, where currently the investigators are carrying out all the necessary investigative and procedural actions regarding the cases before the cases are proceded to the court.
