Kosovo Police, in this case the Directorate for Migration with Foreigners on 26.10.2017 in the early morning hours, in Ferizaj city has conducted the operational plan “Identification of illegal migrants, prevention and their return to the country of origin”.

  During this police actions, there were identified and detained: sixty nine (69) citizens of the Republic of Albania, 55 of them adults and 14 children, accompanied by their familiars, who were staying illegally in our country.

All the identified and detained persons had entered in Kosovo legally as tourists and during the stay here, they have carried out activities of begging in the Ferizaj city. Legal procedures were also initiated against the Kosovar citizens who sheltered (accommodated) these persons as well as there were imposed fines by the Law on foreigners. 

After completing this case, pursuant to the Law on foreigner No. 04/L-219, all migrants in organized manner have been returned in their origin country through the Border Crossing point – Vërmica.

During their treatment, there also participated police officers-investigators of Regional Unit against the Trafficking with Human beings in Ferizaj and there was also informed the Centre for Social Labour – Ferizaj who have treated all the migrants from their scope, but they found no elements of trafficking with human beings.
