Prishtinë, 19 October 2017 –Today at about 03:00, police received the information about a case of theft in progress in the str. “Idriz Gjilani” in the neighborhood Dardania, in Prishtinë.

Upon receiving the information, police went to the scene, where found the suspect in action, who attempting to avoid the police arrest got in the vehicle Golf V, black, and escaping from the scene, he with the vehicle in question crashed the three police officers who were at the scene causing serious bodily injury. 

At the same time, the suspect crashed to the police vehicle causing considerable material damages.

Police officers considering the fact that the actions of the suspect were a direct threat, potentially dangerous for their life, are necessarily forced to use the firearm with the aim of neutralizing such dangerous actions.

In this case the suspect; 

 A. Sogojeva,  male, 28 years-old, citizen of the Republic of Kosovo, received bodily injurie, for what the medical support has been provide in  QKUK, and actually is out of the risk of life and in a good health condition.

Police officers injured in this case, have been provided with the necessary health treatment and besides many injuries they are in a sustainable health condition.

Against the suspect, with the recommendation of the state prosecutor the police detention measure of 48 hours has been imposed.

Besides the raid operation undertaken today regarding the case, police in coordination with the state prosecutor and other mechanisms are performing other necessary investigative and procedural actions with the aim of clarifying and solving all circumstances regarding this event.
