  Regarding the accident occurred on 28.4.2018 in the highway Hani i Elezit-Kaçanik, to the place called ‘Kulla me qeshmë’, where an official vehicle of Kosovo Police, inside which there were two police officers, for unknown circumstances lost control and went out of the road falling from a height in the river Lepenc, from all institutions and units present for the fifth (5) day are continuing intensive commitments in searching two police officers.

  As it is known so far, all relevant units of Kosovo Police were engaged at the scene, including the coordination, cooperation and engagement with all other responsible institutions, such as: Prosecution office, AME, KSF units, various units of search and rescue, diving teams, KFOR, as well as voluntary police officers, various voluntary teams, divers, alpinists, citizens etc., which with great unreserved commitment, for days, have been searching of our colleagues, and our primary aim is to find them.

Within continuous engagements and commitments, in the interest of searching and finding our colleagues, today (02.05.2018) at about 16:00 Kosovo Police in cooperation with the Ministry of Environment and Spatial Planning as well as relevant actors, in two hydropower plants of the Ferizaj region will cut off the flow of water to the watering canals  in several villages of the region of Kaçanik, with the aim of watering/reduce of the level of water to the river Lepenc, in order to facilitate searching for the two police officers.

Villages of the region of Kaçanik through which the water is expected to flow in the watering canals are: the village Doganaj, Sopanicë, Tushaj, Dubravë and Nikaj.

  Through this official announcement we would like to alert all residents of these villages to be informed about the start of water flow in the watering canals and at the same time to be more careful about the movement of inhabitants, in particular the children and vehicles close to them.

   At the same time, we thank all the institutions, units, citizens and police officers who are continuing with their untiring engagement towards the search for two police officers, and at the same time we ask for the understanding of the inhabitants of the above villages.
