-Kosovo Police (KP), based on its duties and legal authorizations, continues to work non—stop on identification and combating of negative phenomenon and other criminal offences that threaten the overall safety of the citizens.

In the course of measures taken for identification and confiscation of illegal weapons which pose a potential risk for the safety of the country, Kosovo Police respectively the border patrolling unit, on 29.03.2016, at about 14:10, during the implementation of an operational police plan, near the crossroad Pogragjë – Stublinë – Dobrosin have stopped a vehicle of VW Passat type, grey color, with plates BU-XXX-SR, driven by the suspect: B. M. (1991) a/k, from Gjilan, and during the control was noticed that the person was transporting the following items:

• Eleven (11) pistols in total (type):

Ekol Tuna five (05) pieces of pistols and

Ekol special 99 six (06) pieces, and

• ammunition (cartridges) 151 pieces:

for ekol tuna 78 pieces, while

for ekol special 99 – 73 pieces).

After consultation with the competent prosecutor, the house of suspect was raided by his decision. The weapons, ammunition and vehicle were seized, while for the suspect was imposed the detention measure of 48 hours for proceeding of other legal procedures.
