Kosovo
Police (KP) in order to inform the public rightly regarding the article
published today, initially in the portal “Gazetaexpress” then also in some
other portals, titled “Why Police hides the suicide of a police
officer-sister of a famous singer” reacts to these articles and clarifies that:

Kosovo
Police regarding the case in question qualified as “Suspicious death” has
undertaken all the necessary police actions for investigation of this case,
including taking of the lifeless body in the forensics institute for autopsy,
which action was made by the decision of the competent prosecutor.

Kosovo
Police even in the case of KP police officer, as in all cases of the same
nature, does not publish the identity of the victim due to the legal procedures
in all cases, regardless.

While,
regarding the tendentious article that Kosovo Police has hidden the case, this
does not stand and is not true, since this case was published for media today
on (01.07.2016) at about 11:15 through the 24 hour report of KP, which is
published in daily basis (see the published case as following);

SUSPICIOUS
DEATH

Prishtinë 06.01.2016-15:50.  Is reported that
a lifeless body of a female K/Albanian was found in a house. The death was determined
by the medical team. With the order of the prosecutor, the lifeless body was
taken to FI for autopsy.

Kosovo
Police in its work relies on the principles such as: impartiality,
professionalism and neutrality, therefore such article does not stand and
furthermore does not intend to create opinions or images from those that
actually characterize Kosovo Police, it is a tendency to mis-inform the whole
opinion with such untrue articles.

Therefore, based on the actual situation of the reports and publishing,
we consider that the public should be informed fairly and correctly, that the
case was not meant to be hidden and it was published just like other cases.
