As a result of several months investigations undertaken by the Directorate against Terrorism within the Kosovo Police, led by Kosovo Special Prosecution and in cooperation with the Section Against Terrorism, within the General Investigation Division and special operations of the Brescia county, Italy, today on 1/12/2015 was implemented the joint operational plan coded “Van Damme”, where at the same time was implemented the order of controlling in a location in Kosovo, as well as three other locations in Italy.

The Directorate Against Terrorism supported other relevant units, in a village of Hani I Elezit has implemented the controlling order authorized by the pre-trial judge from the Serious Crime Department, Basic Court in Ferizaj, where one suspect (S. I) was arrested for the criminal offence, sanctioned by the Law no. 05/L-002 “For stopping the participation on the armed conflicts abroad”, respectively from the Article 3 paragraph 4. “Whoever calls publically, on meetings or via articles, audio visually, including but not being limited even in social networks or any other communication form, calls or encourages the others to commit criminal offences determined on the paragraphs 1, 2 and 3 of this article”.
During the implementation of the order, there were seized as material evidences two fire weapons, one pistol and a rifle of Carabine type, as well as some electronic equipment and other things that may be related to the case.
In consultation with the prosecutor of the case, there are being undertaken all the necessary investigation actions by the PSRK.

This operation is an indicator that the international cooperation is essential in combating the terrorism and is a key of the success in more effective investigations, therefore Kosovo Police is opened for the cooperation even in the future with any country for combating the terrorism and all other forms of crime.

Kosovo Police through this public information, calls all the citizens to not fall prey of these propaganda and deceits for participation in case of terrorism and at the same time for the cases of such nature to inform the Kosovo Police.
