In order to inform the public rightly regarding the article published by the political subject Vetëvendosje in a press release, today on the afternoon (20.10.2015), where it is said that; “Isa Musatafa’s secret police spies the VETËVENDOSJE offices”, Kosovo Police (KP) reacts to this press release and at the same time clarifies that;
Kosovo Police, today on the afternoon has received a telephone call by a person of the political subject Vetëvendosje (VV) that a suspect was encountered at the offices of the VV Presidency in the UÇK street, Prishtina, and that the suspect (as they say) has attempted to put a eavesdropping devices.

Upon receiving the information, the relevant police units were sent to the scene where initially have met the person who has reported the case and the suspect, who then based on the legal procedures was sent to the police station for interviewing and other police procedures.

Kosovo Police regarding this case has also interviewed two other persons of the political subject VV, who has been present on the offices of the mentioned political subject.

So far, Police has conducted the verifications of the person in question with the initials (Q.K) and after the overall verifications this person has not resulted to be a police officer or police employee.

Based on the so far information and results including the findings of the person in question, it is said that this person was standing on the restaurant in the sixth (6) floors and at the time when he was stopped by the VV officers for the alleged doubts, he was using the toilet (WC).

It is worth mentioning that the Kosovo Police is conducting its police actions in cooperation and coordination with the competent prosecutor of this case.

Based on the so far verifications and findings, as well as in order to inform the public rightly, Kosovo Police reacts strongly against the tendentious press release of the political subject Vetëvendosje, whose aim was to damage the image and professional actions of the Kosovo Police, by misinforming the public that the suspect has stated to be a member of Kosovo Police but the fact is that this person is not police employee.

Therefore, based on all the so far actions and publishing made, we consider that the public should be informed rightly and correctly about this case, and that the person in question is not a member of KP, and all the allegations raised by the political subject in question should be verified, since until now there are no elements of the raised allegations, but it is expected that in cooperation with the competent prosecutor to investigate and verify this case.

For any change regarding the investigation process of this case, Kosovo Police will keep the public informed at any time.
