The Unit of Investigation of Economic Crimes and Corruption in Prizren, within the DIECC – Prishtinë, after the receiving the information that in some villages of the Prizren region, some medical clinics are acting illegally by providing medical services for the citizens, illegal drugs without proper licenses, based on the Basic Court order in Prizren, police have conducted an operational plan coded “KAFETIN”, for prevention of exercising illegal activities.
With the intention of implementing the order, in this operational plan have also participated the Inspectors of the Tax Administration, Inspectors of the Health Ministry, respectively the Inspectors of the Kosovo Agency for Medical Products.
During the control, the inspectors have ascertained that in four (4) locations the medical clinics were working illegally and that they possessed drugs that are alleged to be sold to the patients illegally.
All the suspected clinics were closed by the Inspectors of the Ministry of Health, whilst the drugs have been seized by the AKPM within the Ministry of Health.
During this operation there were also seized various documents and drugs, and based on the evidences the proofs and further investigations, it is expected that the involved persons to be prosecuted.
