Prishtinë, April 24th 2015
Referring to the yesterday’s statement of the Macedonian Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA), that a group of fifty (50) persons have entered in Macedonia, respectively in the Saraj village in Skopje, in order to inform the opinion, Kosovo Police informs that yesterday (23.04.2015) at about 16:53, Macedonian police informed Kosovo Police that there are some persons crowded in the border line, respectively in the location Krivenik (RKS)-Radush (MK) and with the immediate verification of the information, it has been confirmed that there are no crowded people or individuals in the abovementioned location, neither in the border zone with Macedonia.
Border Police units in regular duties along the border line faced no crowds alleged by the Macedonian side, and as well as such a thing has been confirmed by the Macedonian border police, which according to the joint patrolling plan, yesterday they have been together with the Border Police units of Kosovo Police in patrolling according to the concept of the integrated border management.
Beside those joint activities with the Macedonian side, in supervision of the border line , Kosovo Police utilize the observation towers which enable monitoring and observation of the greatest area of the border line by two sides, using the advanced technology, and so far no suspicious movement has been detected.
In order to inform the wide opinion, we notify that Kosovo Police has sufficient capacities to fulfill its legal and constitutional duties regarding the safe protection of the border of the Republic of Kosovo and protecting its integrity.
Kosovo Police is ready to cooperate with the agencies of the neighbor countries, including Macedonia to make sure that we have a safe and meaningful observance according to the concept of the integrated border management.
