As a continuance of informing the opinion regarding the protest and its thrift, we inform you that as a result of violent behavior of one group of protesters 19 police officers and 4 citizens are injured, some of them we inside bars, injuries received from stones thrown by violent protesters.Police units were obliged from the situation to intervene to bring the situation under control, where they have taken 22 violent protesters for interview at the police station, to proceed then with other foreseen legal proceedings.Also, as a result of throwing hard objects by the violent protesters, considerable material damages are caused in the facility of RKS Government, as well as in some other business bars/facilities.Kosovo Police continues to secure all citizens of Republic of Kosovo that it will fulfill its legal objectives, offering security for all citizens, their private and public property.____________________________________________

Continuance of information regarding the protest

During the protest in from of the National Theatre, where there were about 7.000 (seven thousand) protestors, there were several speeches held by various personalities, and during this time, a number of protestors have thrown various items, including tough means in the facility of the Government of the Republic of Kosovo.As a result of the throwing various tools, based on the so far information three police officers are slightly injured as well as significant number of windows of the building of the Government of the Republic of Kosovo (RKS) have been damaged / broken.
Even though at 16:00, the protest should have ended, the organizers of the protest did not require dispersing the small number of protestors who continued to stay and violently throw various means, including stones and various cement blocks through the facility of the Government of RKS. After violent actions, the police units have been forced to intervene, in order to disperse the protestors who continued to damage/break business bars and KP so far detained three violent protestors.Kosovo Police ensures all citizens of the Republic of Kosovo, that they will continue to fulfill its legal objectives, providing security to all citizens, their private and public properties.
It is worth mentioning that, in order to fairly inform the public opinion regarding the disinformation published by the representatives of the public entity Vetëvendosje that allegedly the Police had set up a traffic accident near Komaran, this news is untrue.Relevant police units have received information that around 11:55, in Slatina, a traffic accident occurred, where two vehicles were involved, and as a result of the accident, a person with initials (B.F.) from the village Peqan of Suhareka has been injured. Police units have taken all actions necessary to conduct legal proceedings and during this time while the road was temporarily blocked, police units have re-organized the traffic to an alternative road around Aviano restaurant, with the aim of having the normal flow of traffic.After completion of scene examination and removing the vehicles involved in the accident, the road has been free for movement immediately. Continuance of information regarding the protest

As a continuation of information regarding the protest and its process, we inform you that the protest is being developed calmly, while police units are providing security, keeping the public order.Initially protesters are gathered at the National Library in Pristina, to continue then towards of the square to the National Theatre, where relevant police units are doing their job in order to have the free movement of protesters and citizens, including re-directing traffic.It should be noted that the protest until now is calm and policing plan in terms of security is being implemented as foreseen, without the involvement of EULEX and KFOR. Kosovo Police continues to trust that citizens have a high culture and hopes that this protest will go quiet.

Information regarding the unannounced protest

In order to inform the public opinion regarding the unannounced protest as foreseen by law on public gatherings, expected to be held today at 14:00, Kosovo Police has done all necessary preparations by drafting operational order. Strategic objective of this operational order are:*General security of the Republic of Kosovo, providing public order and safety and law enforcement.*Increasing security measures to assure public order, peace and security, before, during and after the protest.*Undertaking necessary police measures and actions against possible illegal acts and combating all negative phenomena that can cause instability.*Prevention, combating negative phenomena and possible criminal acts that would eventually endanger public safety etc.Kosovo Police as a law enforcement institution will undertake all actions in accordance with the Constitution of Kosovo, laws on power and drafted plan, to guarantee public law and order, for the flow of protest as well as providing possibility for all citizens to move freely.
Kosovo Police recognizes the right of citizens for public gatherings, free speech in public gatherings, protests and manifestations in accordance with the Constitution of Republic of Kosovo and laws on power.Law enforcement, providing public law and order, free movement and flow of this protest is priority for the KP plan. Kosovo Police believes in high level of citizen’s culture and hopes that this day, this protest will be peaceful.
