As a continuance of the Kosovo Police investigations, after several month operational-investigation work, in cooperation with the state prosecution, today on (17.9.2014) in the early morning hours, Kosovo Police conducted a wide police operation in the country level, for arresting of suspects, on the grounded suspicion to have committed the criminal offences against the constitutional order and safety of the Republic of Kosovo.
This police operation has been undertaken assessing the risk and importance of the national security, protection of constitutional order, keeping law and order, as well as in the spirit of respecting the rights of everyone guaranteed by the Constitution of the Republic of Kosovo.
Republic of Kosovo is known as country of religious tolerance and of respecting human rights regardless race, religion or gender.
While conducting this police operation, sixteen (16) locations have been raided, where fifteen (15) persons have been arrested under the grounded suspicion to have committed criminal offences from the Chapter “CRIMINAL OFFENCES AGAINST CONSTITUTIONAL ORDER AND SAFETY OF THE REPUBLIC OF KOSOVO” of the Kosovo Criminal Code.
The arrested persons are:

• M.M. (1958) – Prizren
• B. R. (1980) – Prizren
• I. B. (1981) – Prizren
• L. R. (1979) – Prizren
• A. M. (1985) – Ferizaj
• Sh. K. (1989) – Ferizaj• S. S. (1981) – Gjilan
While as material evidences there have been seized incriminating material regarding the offences for which these persons are suspected, including electronic equipment as well as other evidences related to the case.
Police of the Republic of Kosovo use this opportunity that through this official press release to inform its citizens about the risk threatening everyone that intends to join suspected organizations that operate in the territory of Syria and Iraq, where several persons from RKS have been killed.
A great number of these organizations such as Al-Nusra and ISIS, have been announced Terrorist Organizations by the international and national bodies, so Kosovo Police calls all people not to be prey of such ideological seductions and indoctrinations and to inform Kosovo Police for any case.
Otherwise, Kosovo Police based on the legal mandate will undertake all the measures in order to prevent and combat any form of violent extremism, including individuals in criminal activities in terrorist organizations and groups in Kosovo and abroad, as well as all those that in any way support, finance, recruit, or urge national, racial, or religious hatred.
