Prishtinë 14 August 2014,-As a result of several months investigations, in regard with the case of arresting of four (4) persons during June 2014 in Kaçanik for the same offences, today on 14/8/2014, in the early morning hours Kosovo Police according to the order of the pre-trial judge of EULEX, has undertaken an operation for implementation of the controlling order into two locations in Gjilan and Skenderaj. This Police operation has resulted on arresting of two (2) suspects (Z. Q, born in 1980, imam in the El-Kuddus mosque in Gjilan, suspected to be one of the main inspirer of jihad and the other suspect, L. K, born in 1987, from Polac village, Skenderaj) under the ground suspicion for having committed the criminal offences from the chapter “Criminal acts against the constitutional order and safety of the Republic of Kosovo”:• Recruitment for terrorism, according to article 139 of KCC,• Organization and participation in terrorist group, according to article 143 of KCC• Incitement of hatred, discord or national, race, religious or ethnic intolerance, according to article 147 of KCC.During the implementation of the order, the suspect Z. Q was not at his home, but the same was found from Kosovo Police hidden in his vehicle in a mountain territory nearby his house, while the other suspect was found in his residence.During the implementation of the orders, there were also seized material evidences which are linked with the abovementioned criminal offences. By the order of the prosecutor of the Special Prosecution, the police detention measure of 48 hours was imposed to the arrested persons. The investigations related to this case are still ongoing.
