Prishtina, 18 June 2014 – Today at 14:05 o’clock, police received information regarding an armed robbery. The robbery took place at the Raiffeisen Bank branch located at the “Eqrem Çabej ” street in Prishtina.Immediately after receiving this information, specialist of crime investigation with an increased intensity undertook series of operational and investigational actions, to solve and clarify all circumstances related with the case.Based on the initial information of the investigation group conducting investigation, it is suspected that the robbery was committed by two suspects, by threatening with weapons.In this entire situation there were no injured persons.After robbing a considerable amount of money, suspects, quickly and by a suspected vehicle left the scene. In order to confirm the amount of robbed money, police is working closely with bank officers.Currently, police supported by state prosecutor is working with commitment to identify possible suspects, vehicle by which they left the scene as well as their location. Regional directorate of police – Prishtina in its everyday work is focused in combating crime, catching and arresting the suspects of criminal acts as well as providing order, security and public peace, therefore we call all citizens who have any information regarding criminal cases, especially for the abovementioned case, to support police with information for investigating and detection of such acts.
