The Directorate for Investigation of Trafficking with Human Beings (DITHB), in two separate cases, has arrested two suspected persons, under the background suspicion of committing the criminal offence of ‘trafficking with humans’. The first case has occurred in Prishtina, where the police investigators on April 28, 2014 at about 22:00, have conducted a successful police operation which resulted on arresting of a suspect person, under the background suspicion for committing the criminal offence ‘trafficking with humans’
The person arrested in this case is:
• Sh. M. born in 1979 m/a/k
The suspect had sheltered two Albanian female victims and it is suspected that with the use of force he did not let the victims free, by holding them closed in the flat, where with this case it is suspected for committing the offence ‘slavery’.It is also suspected that the suspect has committed also the criminal offence “hiding of documents’ of the victim’s identification, since he had taken those documents from the victims. With the order of the prosecutor, the detention measure of 48 hours was imposed to the suspect. Second case had occurred in Gjilan, where the Directorate for Investigation of Trafficking with Human Beings has conducted a police operation which has resulted on arresting of an Albanian female suspected, which is suspected for committing the criminal offence ‘trafficking with humans’The police operation was conducted on April 28, 2014, at about 16:00, under the background suspicion for committing the offence of ‘trafficking with humans’, where the victim in this case had been an Albanian female. The suspect arrested in this case is:• R. H. born in 1989 f/a/kTo the first victim was provided the necessary medical aid in the regional hospital, which later was interviewed in the presence of the victims protector, while with the decision of the state prosecutor to the suspect was imposed the detention measure of 48 hours
