Directorate of Investigation of Economic Crimes and Corruption, respectively the section of investigation of corruption, on 26.2.2014 at about 16:00 conducted a police operation, in which case two persons have been arrested on the ground suspicion to have the criminal offences ‘abuse of official position or authority’ and ‘bribery’.
The arrested persons are:
• P. Gj. born on 1979 m/sh/k
• L. M. born on 1983 m/sh/k
Police investigators had received the information that by the suspected persons already arrested by police, both officers of QKUK, a doctor and a medical technician, the male Kosova Albanian victim had been obliged that for the transport of his child from QKUK to the hospital of Albania to give bribes to both QKUK officers. After receiving this information by the authorization of the competent prosecutor, the secret investigative measures had been implemented, in which case 100 euro have been found to the suspects who declared that they received this money from the victim. All police actions regarding this case have been performed in consultation and by the authorization of the respective prosecutor and the suspects have been detained in the detention center for further investigative procedures.
