General Director of Kosovo Police Mr. Shpend Maxhuni together with its senior staff, today on 03.01.2014 at 10:00, hosted in a meeting the General Director of the Albanian State Mr. Artan Didi accompanied also by the senior leaders of Albania Police.The purpose of this meeting was the advancement of further cooperation between the police agencies of two countries, aiming to combat criminality relating two countries.Mr. Shpend Maxhuni in his speech sad that “Security situation in both countries is considered peaceful and stable, and this is one of the main and essential preconditions to support the processes which Kosovo and Albania are going through in order that both countries are in the position they deserve to be”. He further stressed that Kosovo and Albanian Police Organizations have very good cooperation in all police fields referring to the cooperation in road traffic field and border police of both countries in integrated border management. While Mr. Artan Didi in his speech sad that in this meeting today we treated problems of several fields, like integrated border management and strengthening combat against the organized crime etc. he stressed further that “Albanian police is in a process of reform, and a process that requires increase of its values to adapt to those requirements that Albanian integration in European Union requires.” During the meeting held at the Facilities of the General Directorate of Kosovo Police, both Police leaders expressed their commitment to continue mutual cooperation between police organizations as well as the joint advancement in the field of combating crime, organized and the trans-border crime.
