Kosovo Police (KP) to properly inform the public, through this official announcement denies the tendentious and untrue article of Igor Simic published on his social network Facebook titled – the Primitivism of Kosovo Special Units in Brnjak, a speculation which was then published as such on the Serbian portal Kosovo – online.
In these articles it is speculated that allegedly special units (SPUs) of KP, on the occasion of performing the shifts at the border crossing point Brnjak, on September 30th 2021 at about 23:30, allegedly intentionally damaged dozens of private vehicles parked on the road, according to photos allegedly the cars in question are scratched by the police officers.
Proving the fact that the Kosovo Police is professional and in service to law enforcement, we reemphasize that police actions are taken in accordance with the Constitution of Kosovo and applicable laws, and does not fall a prey to constant provocations, misinformation and false politically oriented news.
Kosovo Police conducted official verifications with relevant units in the field and it has been proven that such information is untrue, as police units are not involved under any circumstances, therefore such articles are pure speculations, untrue and politically oriented, aiming to destabilize the situation and blemish the elite units of the Kosovo Police.
The Kosovo Police, despite such speculations, will continue its commitment and dedication, in implementing the laws and the constitution of the Republic of Kosovo, in the interest of maintaining public peace and order for the country and all citizens without distinction.
