Prishtinë, 18th of September 2021

The Police investigators from the Directorate for Investigation of Trafficking with Narcotics-Ferizaj, after receiving information about the cultivation of narcotic plants in the village of Soponica in Kaçanik, on 17.09.2021, around 17:55, after a tactical plan, assisted by police patrols of the Police Station-Kaçanik, in a mountainous area have found 14 (fourteen) plants suspected to be cannabis-sativa.

Police have identified two suspects: A.D., (v.l. 1997, Kosovar male) and A.D., (v.l. 2000, Kosovar male). In consultation with the Chief Prosecutor of the Basic Prosecution Ferizaj and by verbal order of the pre-trial judge acting in urgent circumstances, near the location of the plants, the house of the above-mentioned persons was searched.

During the search of the house, two packages were found, which is suspected to be narcotic substance type marijuana, a marijuana grinding mill, a licensed revolver with two magazines without cartridges. The above-mentioned persons were arrested, escorted to the police station, interviewed and taken into custody by a decision of the prosecutor.

By order of the prosecutor, the plants are destroyed at the scene, and their samples are taken for examination.
