Kosovo Police, to rightly inform the public, by this official announcement denies the tendentious and untrue article published in the Serbian media “Kosovo-online”, a medium which is constantly publishing such misinformation.
The today’s (23.09.21) news published on this medium, informs that allegedly near the border crossing point in Brnjak the special unit from Prishtina beat three Serbians is untrue and it aims misinformation of public, aims to present a situation of insecurity for citizens as well as to fulfill various externally oriented political ambitions.
It is worth mentioning that the Kosovo Police as a law enforcement institution, in all occasions, undertakes all the actions in accordance with the Constitution of Kosovo and applicable laws, to guarantee public order and safety, including enabling free movement of people and goods at all border crossing points.
Therefore, after official verifications such information has been proven to be untrue, because there was no stopping or contact with any protesters at the border crossing point, but the police unit along the way has checked three trucks respectively their drivers who drove behind the convoy of police officers endangering the safety of the officers and the police operation, in this case the officers stopped, checked and then released three drivers of Kosovar nationality, who were instructed to show up at the police station South – Mitrovica.
The Kosovo Police will continue its commitment and dedication, in the implementation of the laws and the constitution of the Republic of Kosovo, in the interest of maintaining public order and security in the country and to all citizens regardless.
