Kosovo Police (KP), with the aim of rightly informing the public, addresses this official information for media, regarding the article published in “koha.net”, titled “The Chief of Procurement resigns after identifying an attempt for the abuse in the system PRIMS”.

The Kosovo Police official Mrs. V. B. (civilian staff), has been working within the Department of Supporting Services, in the position acting Director of the Directorate of Procurement, effective up to 10.11.2020, but she resigned voluntarily  (09.11.2020), one day before expiration date.

The official in question, in her resignation mentioned several suspicions raised by her on several irregularities addressed earlier to her (previous) management of KP and several suspicions, according to her, for irregularities in the system PRIMS of KP, including several addressing to her supervisor.

Kosovo Police through competent officials handled the raised concerns about the suspicions of abuse in the system PRIMS and according to them, included the project manager, it resulted that there is no abuse or unauthorized access in the system.

It is worth mentioning that the acting General Director of Kosovo Police Mr. Samedin Mehmeti, at the moment of receiving the official information on (04.11.2020) about the all raised suspicions by the official in question, undertook immediate legal actions, by handling and addressing officially the letter to the Kosovo Police Inspectorate for immediate treating.

Kosovo Police, in this case acting General Director of KP Mr. Mehmeti, shall continue the cooperation with the Kosovo Police Inspectorate and all competent institutions for handling and investigation of this case and all cases, where there are suspicions for potential abuse.
